This is the website for CONCESSIONS, a film by Mas Bouzidi. It is a single page listing screenings, a trailer and links to buy or pre-order the film. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, address or payment details — there is nowhere on this site to enter them.
What follows is an honest account of what does happen when you visit.
Advertising and measurement
We use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). When you load this site, it sends Meta your IP address, browser and device information, the page you are on, and the page you arrived from. It also stores cookies in your browser.
We use this to measure whether our advertising is working and to show ads about the film to people who have visited this site. If you are already logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta can connect that activity to your account.
Meta is an independent controller of the data it receives. Its own explanation is in the Meta Privacy Policy.
How to opt out
- Adjust what Meta shows you in Facebook Ad Preferences, and review or disconnect off-Facebook activity in Off-Facebook Activity.
- Turn on Do Not Track or a tracker-blocking extension in your browser, or use private browsing. Most content blockers stop the Pixel loading at all.
- On iPhone or iPad, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking controls whether apps like Facebook may track you across other sites.
Other services this page loads
A web page is assembled from several places, and each one necessarily sees your IP address in order to send you anything at all:
- Vercel hosts this site and keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested).
- Google Sheets — the screenings table is read live from a public spreadsheet each time the page loads, so your browser contacts Google directly.
- Google Fonts serves the typeface.
-
YouTube hosts the trailer. We use the
youtube-nocookie.complayer, which does not set advertising cookies unless you press play.
Ticket and pre-order buttons send you to third parties — Laemmle, Eventbrite, Fandango, Apple and Amazon among them. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site under their privacy policy, not ours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it deleted, or to object to its use for advertising. For data Meta holds, the fastest route is the Meta links above. For anything to do with this site, write to us and we will do our best to help.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we add or remove a service that collects data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
